The Pathways to Healthy Living at At The Crossroads is designed to help struggling young adults improve or augment behaviors in their life through living a healthy lifestyle. Healthy is not meant to be all inclusive (the answer) but "healthy living" is a component that is considered to be vital to a successful life.
At The Crossroads we have put together a powerful life changing curriculum (life system) that focuses on developing a healthy life. In relationship to healthy living we teach the foundational actions, attitudes, and behaviors that lead to healthy living. Diet and Exercise, living substance-free, and having solid emotional stability are extremely important elements of the overall advancement toward independence and independent living.
"Healthy living" to most people means both physical and mental health are in balance or functioning well together in a person. In many instances, physical and mental health is closely linked, so that a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other. Consequently, some of the tips will include suggestions for emotional and mental "healthy living."
