In America, today, we have a group of unmotivated young adults who are the victims of academic sinkholes; too many of them are dropouts. They have failed to launch into adulthood successfully. These young men and women go from job to job, have no desire to go to school, and have no skills to compete with. These young adults do not know what success feels like because they have had little to no experience with it and are stuck in a rut with few opportunities available to them.

Young Adults need Motivating Factors in Life

Young adults need the motivation to set themselves up in situations where they can experience small successes. Most likely, they have not been successful in the past and do not believe they can be successful in the future. They need someone to believe in them so they can learn to believe in themselves. Young adults who lack motivation can become easily bored with repetitive tasks. But, the success they will feel from completing multiple tasks can work wonders for motivation.

Parents, even if your adult child no longer lives under your roof, they still need encouragement to feel motivation. Do not give up on them. Please call At The Crossroads at 866-439-0354 to speak to our Admissions Counselor and learn of the options available.

“Starting out in the program I had few responsibilities, but as I got a job and worked harder, I started paying my own bills. It became really gratifying to know I could budget my money, work hard at a job, and accomplish the things I have.” -Miles (Former Student).
